Hartes of Henley
Hartes of Henley is an all-year round childcare setting, situated right in the heart of Henley, set just at the back of the river. The nursery is located within walking distance of the town centre, train station, two playgrounds and a large open meadow making Hartes of Henley an ideal location for pick-ups and drop-offs, outings and outdoor play.
Hartes of Henley can be found in the large Leichlingen Pavilion in Mill Meadows and is fortunate enough to have a beautiful glass dome roof allowing for a light and spacious setting. The interior is carefully designed, fit for purpose, to be the ultimate early years setting. Staff help children with learning and play, and enable children to experience a rich curriculum in a secure setting, assisted by caring, qualified and friendly staff.
The space allows for staff to offer a wide range of activities, for all different age groups and these can be run simultaneously to allow children time to play with others of their own age, but also have the opportunity, in small doses, to interact with children of different ages.
Being so close to play parks, beautiful meadows, the river Thames, shops, places of interest and a wide range of wildlife staff are spoilt for choice on fun ways to help the children learn and grow.
Hartes of Henley is a nursery and offers a before and after-school club and a holiday club for children from age three-months to 11-years- old.
Staff are happy to be flexible and aim to help make your life easier and allow where possible for versatile session times, with parents able to choose from early or late pick-ups and drop-offs, holiday and after-school clubs in order to schedule their childcare needs.
Henley Village Montessauri Nursery School
Our philosophy is “Locus Laetus Discere” which is translated to “A happy place to learn.”
We’re here to support children through their early years to become confident, content and considerate.
We provide children with a nurturing and stimulating environment where their uniqueness is celebrated and also prepare children for school.
The Old Station Nursery
Henley is the newest nursery to join our group, although it has been operating for more than 8 years as Orchard Farm Day Nursery. It is registered for 64 children, and is based in a lovely rural setting on the edge of Henley, surrounded by fields and woodland. The nursery has a separate baby room, toddler room and a newly built pre-school room. We operate a holiday club for 4-11 year olds in the club barn. We are very proud to have our own Forest School in woodland behind the nursery, which all age groups to enjoy. Children from 2 upwards take part in weekly Forest School sessions and enjoy lots of time in the outdoor areas that surround the nursery during the whole week. During the holidays we are able to offer Forest School sessions for all children who attend, so if your child would like to enjoy toasting marshallows over a camp fire and would enjoy learning to build a shelter, they should come and join us! From February 2014 we have extended our opening hours, so we are open from 7.30 am until 6.30pm, to accomodate parents who need longer hours to fit in with their commute.
Treetops is located in central Henley close to the river and train station. It has been equipped specifically as an extended day care nursery. Within each room we cater for sleep, quiet, noisy, messy and learning activities and a major feature is an exciting multi-level soft play area. We have a unique indoor / outdoor play area and there will also be plenty of opportunities for the children to be taken on walks and trips to local amenities. In addition we also have a tarmac area outside for the children to play and ride bikes, etc.
We have a unique garden which enables us to be able to go out in all weathers; because half of the garden has a roof, the children have the opportunity to get fresh air all year round. Our central location means that we can walk the children to the town centre, river, park, local church, library and supermarket, all of which we visit regularly. We are also close to the train station, so the children can watch and take trips on the trains. In our rooms the children all sit down and have their meals together; we feel this is a great time for the children to be interacting with their peers and key carers, who sit at the children’s level so that they can give guidance and assistance when needed. All children have the opportunity to play and explore with a large range of messy play, such as gloop, crazy soap, ice, jelly, sand, water, custard and many more. We have a wide range of resources that all the children can use to encourage learning through play and help the children gain new experiences on a daily basis, this helps the key carers to plan for each individuals' need. We also believe in nurturing a smooth transition from home to nursery so, before children join Treetops, we offer a home visit, which lets the children see their key worker in their own environment; this helps the children when they come into the nursery, to see a familiar face. We believe we are the first local nursery group to offer this.
